GOOD MORNING
My guests:
Chairman of East Northants District Council - Mr Dudley Hughes
District Councillors
Town Councillors
Ladies & Gentlemen
Today is a historic and important day in the history of Irthlingborough.
Without a solid infrastructure there can be no trade, little economic development and little improvement in the quality of life for our people of the town. As the first Mayor of Irthlingborough, it gives me great pleasure and honour to be here on this historic occasion and I would like to thank:
The regeneration committee
The Contractors
The Funders
Councillors and Officer involved
For their efforts in this wonderful project. We can all be proud of our new High Street and my Town Council is looking forward to other projects for our town.
This wonderful regeneration project before us is the result we can achieve when we work together. It also provides us with the beginning for the new future of our town, opening up opportunity for the growth and development of Irthlingborough.
Thank you all for being here and all that is left for me to do is carry out my civic duty. It gives me great pleasure to open the newly regenerated High Street by the formal cutting of this ribbon.
I FORMALLY ANNOUNCE
